Willem Heijboer is a Dutch physiotherapist and clinical epidemiologist. He currently works as a clinical researcher and physiotherapist for Aspetar’s Sports Groin Pain Centre, where he is performing his PhD-research project on the diagnosis of longstanding groin pain in athletes. Prior to joining Aspetar in April 2018, he worked 8 years as a physiotherapist in a practice for rehabilitation of sports- and orthopedic injuries in The Netherlands. He has a special interest in football related injuries, with a focus on groin and knee injuries.

Willem Heijboer finished his master in Evidence Based Practice in Health Care in 2017 at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He also holds a Bachelor degree in physiotherapy (2010, Avans University of Applied Sciences of Breda, The Netherlands) and a Bachelor degree in Education (2007, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands).
