Mr. David Flory CBE joined HMC as Chief of the Tertiary Hospitals Group in 2015 and is responsible for the strategic leadership and management of HMC hospitals. This includes Hamad General Hospital, the Heart Hospital, National Center for Cancer Care and Research, Al Wakra Hospital, Al Khor Hospital, The Cuban Hospital, Women’s Wellness and Research Center and the Ambulatory Care Center.
Mr. Flory is a very experienced Chief Executive and health system leader. From 2012, he was the Chief Executive of the National Trust Development Authority in the UK which oversees around 100 hospital trusts. Before that he was the Deputy Chief Executive of the entire National Health Service (NHS) for England, and the National Director General for NHS Finance, Performance and Operations. He has also held a range of national and regional health leadership and CEO positions, including in the North East of England.
