Nawal Khattabi is the Risk Management, Patient Safety & Patient Engagement Director at Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), a healthcare organization that manages 28 Health Centers across the State of Qatar serving the whole population of the state. Nawal is leading the Risk Management, Patient Safety and Patient Engagement Programs and is a recognized leader in System-focused incident reviews, Systems Safety improvement and Risk Management. Her most recent experience and interest include Client and Community Engagement.
Nawal earned a Master’s degree in Human Factors and System Safety from Lund University in Sweden, a Master of Science in Clinical engineering from University of Montreal and a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnique Montreal. Nawal is ISQUA Fellow and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management by the American Hospital Association and certified Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute, USA. She is also Black Belt Lean Six Sigma trained by More Steam University. She also earned Specialist certificate in People Centered Care from ISQUA.
