Dr. Irfan Muneeb

Dr. Irfan Muneeb is a Consultant Geriatrician working at Hamad Medical Corporation in the Geriatric and Long-Term Care Department, joining the Geriatric Team in October 2018. His special interests include Frailty, Falls and Primary age-related Sarcopenia.
Dr Irfan has helped establish the Sarcopenia clinic in Rumailah which is the first multidisciplinary clinic in the region for assessment and treatment of Sarcopenia.
He was trained in the West Midlands in the UK and did his first Consultant Geriatrician Post in Walsall Manor Hospital, UK. He was Consultant lead for Frailty service at WMH and was a member of West Midlands Quality Review Service (WMQRS).
He was also Clinical Director for Elderly Care and Stroke services in WMH. He has been involved in a lot of Quality Improvement Projects in Hamad and in his previous role.
Dr Irfan Muneeb also has a passion for medical research and education, and he has done several publications in U.K journals to educate the healthcare professionals on core Geriatric issues.
