Dr. Ghalib Ahmed Alhaneedi is the Director of the HMC Orthopedic Residency Training Program and an Assistant Professor at the Weill Cornell Medical College since 2014.

In the 1992, he completed his medical school and his Orthopaedic Residency training Department at Baghdad University and granted Board certification in 1998.

Dr. Ghalib did his Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship in 2008 at St. George’s Hospital in London.

He completed his MRCS Ireland in 2009 and FRCS (Trauma &Orth.), UK. in 2017.

Dr. Ghalib joined HMC in 2005 and is working as Senior Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon within the pelvis and hip surgery specialty.

Dr. Ghalib contributed greatly to ACGME-I Accreditation of HMC Orthopedic Residency Training Program in 2014 and he is an active member of ACGME-International Review Committee that is responsible for accreditation of International Residency Training Programs since 2016.

He has several research and abstract publications as author and co-author in international journals in the orthopedic trauma, acetabular injuries and orthopedic disorders.

He is a reviewer of the Journal of Orthopedics and Traumatology  and BMC Musculoskeletal Disorder Journals.

Furthermore, he directs the Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship Program at the HMC since 2013.

Dr. Ghalib was awarded for his contribution for ACGME-I accreditation of HMC Orthopedic Residency Training program.
