Prof. Sukru Mehmet Erturk, MD

After graduating from Istanbul Erkek Lisesi, a German high school in Istanbul, Dr. Erturk studied medicine at Cerrahpasa School of Medicine of Istanbul University. After graduating from medical school, he completed a one-year certificate program in hospital management at the Institute of Business Administration of Istanbul University. Mehmet started his specialty training in radiology at the Sisli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital in 1998. Upon completing his training, Dr. Erturk moved to Boston and completed his fellowships in management in radiology and abdominal radiology research between 2004 and 2006 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. During this time period, he was a lecturer of radiology at the Harvard Medical School. In 2009, Dr. Erturk became the Secretary-General of the Turkish Society of Radiology. Between 2016 and 2018, Dr. Erturk served as the president of the Turkish Society of Magnetic Resonance. Currently, he is a professor of radiology at Istanbul University School of Medicine and an executive board member of The Turkish Society of Radiology.
