Dr. Amal Abdulla Al-Ali

Dr. Amal Abdulla Al-Ali is the Executive Director of Quality and Patient Safety Directorate at Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC). She is a practicing Senior Consultant Family Physician who has been working in PHCC since 2003. She is also an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine in Clinical Medicine, and this appointment has been her pathway in recognizing clinical excellence. She is fully competent and enthusiastic in her core fields of interests, such as Quality and Safety in Healthcare Management, Risk Management, Person-centered Care, Health Professions Education and Clinical Family Medicine. 

She has earned several professional degrees from prestigious institutions, which includes M.Sc. in Quality and Safety in Healthcare Management from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland; M.Sc. in Health Professions Education from Maastricht University, the Netherlands; and an Arab Board Specialization in Family Medicine from Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar. Dr. Amal is a certified Quality Improvement Trainer, Level 1 & 2 from FICS, Canada, and a certified Improvement Advisor from IHI, a certified Balanced Score Card Professional, and a fellow at The International Society for Quality in Health Care (FISQua). 

In the field of Person-Centered care, Dr. Amal assumes the role of a leader, supervisor, and coach for both ongoing and completed PCC activities and initiatives at PHCC; oversees the development and implementation of patient-engagement strategy and focuses on improving the efficiency and quality of contact with patients by reviewing the entire experience at all stages of the patient’s interaction.
