Dr. Al Shurbaji was born in Amman, Jordan. He received his medical degree from the Jordanian University, in 1985. He did his Clinical fellowship in neuroscience at the International Neuroscience Institute (INI) in Hanover-Germany and finished in the year 2003.
He is currently the Chief of neurosurgery at King Hussein Medical Center, Amman, Jordan. He is also the President of the Jordanian Neurological Surgeons Society.
He is a member of a number of neurosurgical societies and has many international publications.
