Janice Tufte
Patient and Family Centered Care and Health Systems Improvement subject matter expert
Janice Tufte is a Patient and Family Centered Care and Health Systems Improvement subject matter expert. She has served on the American College of Physicians Clinical Guidelines Committee as a Public Panel member the last four years and is involved with quality measurement development and endorsement, goals driven care and reducing inappropriate care in health delivery with the focus on looking through a multiple determinants of health equity lens.
Janice has served as a Patient Advisor on two Seattle, Washington Medical Center Councils and the Group Health Cooperative Advisory Group Assembly where her health delivery improvement suggestions were implemented and made positive impacts on the health system. She is a National Advisor for Consumers Advancing Patient Safety, Choosing Wisely, Kaiser Permanente, Open Notes HIT, Aging Initiative, and at the National Quality Forum. Janice is a Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute Ambassador and has been involved with many PCORI projects as a Patient Co-Investigator to Advisor to Conference Presenter disseminating latest thought leadership work in Learning Health Systems and providing impacts of Health Services Research into discussions.
