On behalf of HMC, it gives us great pleasure to invite you once again to take part in the next Middle East Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare, which will take place in March 2019 in Doha, Qatar.
The commitment to healthcare quality, patient safety and population health remains strong in Qatar, sustained by the Ministry of Public Health's unwavering support to continually raise the standards of healthcare in the country and improve outcomes.
We strongly believe that education and knowledge transfer are the foundation of any sustainable improvement to patient care and experience. This has been a driving force behind our continued collaboration and partnership with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) to bring this internationally renowned conference in healthcare quality and safety to Qatar in order to establish a solid platform for healthcare professionals to exchange knowledge and learn from world leaders in quality and safety. Building on the success of the previous 6 years we are proud to present this 7th ME Forum on QI and Patient Safety with the latest developments in this field.
Now in its seventh year, this Forum supports and motivates the movement for healthcare improvement in Qatar and internationally. The rich and diverse program, developed in close partnership with the IHI and the local scientific steering committee, harnesses expertise from around the world to deliver global solutions that address local needs. It is designed to equip participating healthcare practitioners with knowledge about recent developments in tools, theories, methodologies and best practices that will help advance the effectiveness of healthcare delivery and enhance the quality and safety of patient care.
In order to make real and sustainable system-wide changes, we need to collaborate, network and cooperate with each other and other systems and organizations. This Forum is an ideal platform to connect quality and safety experts, healthcare leaders and practitioners, as well as develop networks and build coalitions to support ongoing learning and drive innovation. We are therefore delighted to be able to showcase not only the expertise of international IHI faculty, but also host many national and regional speakers from HMC and other local and regional healthcare systems.
Whether you are experienced in the science of quality improvement or consider yourself as starting on your quality improvement journey and are interested in learning new knowledge and skills, this Forum has something for each of you.
