Dan Reynald Reutotar Borja

Head Nurse, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Link

Dan is one the head nurses in Mobile Healthcare Service (MHS). His responsibilities include providing patient assessment for early supported discharge, clinical care for community patients and the patient recovery center. Furthermore, he’s the quality improvement and patient safety link for the Mobile Healthcare Service (MHS). He is currently one of the representatives for mobile healthcare service in the corporate nursing midwifery quality and practice committee which oversees policy revisions, ideas for improvements and key performance indicators across Hamad Medical Corporation corporate nursing. He is also the team Lead for MHS Sepsis in the Qatar National Patient Safety Collaboration which adapted an approach in identifying early signs and symptoms of sepsis in the community. 

In his nine years of nursing experience, Dan has practiced in mostly in the emergency department and the last three years as a head nurse. This experience put him in a position to identify gaps, promote ideas for improvements and cultivate an environment of change to improve patient safety. 

Dan holds a bachelor of science in nursing and holds a Master’s degree of Science in Nursing major in adult health from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center. During his post graduate studies, he co-authored and presented a poster for their research paper in Thailand for 16th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars and in the Philippines for 1st Philippine Forum of Nursing Scholars.
