Dr. Antoun Kamel
Chief Resident, Department of Medicine
Dr. Antoun was born in Egypt where he completed his undergraduate training at the faculty of medicine, Cairo University. He moved to Qatar in 2014 when he started his journey in Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) as an internal medicine resident. After completing his residency in June 2018, Dr. Antoun is currently occupying the position of the chief resident of Internal Medicine Residency Program in HMC.
His main interest is education development as well as coaching junior residents and medical students and is involved in "Point Of Care Ultrasound" (POCUS) teaching program for internal medicine residents in HMC.
Dr. Antoun has recently conducted many JCI MPE chapter sessions for trainees in different hospitals in HMC and he has participated in many quality projects and medical researches during his residency.
In 2018, he participated in Weill Cornell / NewYork Presbyterian (NYP) - HMC chief residents exchange program.
