Henry Tazelaar

Dr. Henry Tazelaar joined the Mayo Clinic staff in 1988 and the former Chair of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic Arizona. He completed residency and fellowships in surgical pathology and cardiopulmonary transplant pathology at Stanford University Medical Center. His research interests include the pathology of heart and lung transplantation, neoplastic and non-neoplastic heart and lung pathology, and pleural disease. He has a particular interest in the pathology of granulomatous lung disease, and lung involvement in systemic disease and is the author of over 350 peer reviewed publications, and three textbooks. He is a past president of the Pulmonary Pathology Society, currently the President Elect of the International Academy of Pathology and has served on the board of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology and currently chair of the Foundation Committee. His avocations include hiking, travel, classical music, and great food.
