We are delighted to announce that bursaries are available for the 34th Annual Congress of the International Academy of Pathology - Arab Division (IAP-AD), taking place in Doha from November 30th to December 3rd, 2023. We invite eligible individuals to apply for these bursaries to support their participation in this esteemed event.
The bursaries aim to provide financial assistance to pathology residents and technologists, who may otherwise face financial constraints in attending the Congress. This initiative reflects our commitment to promoting inclusivity, fostering professional development, and facilitating knowledge exchange within the pathology community.
Benefits of the bursary include:
1.
Congress Registration: Full coverage of the Congress registration fee, granting access to all scientific sessions, keynote lectures, workshops, and networking events.
2.
Travel Expenses: Financial assistance towards travel expenses, which may include airfare, ground transportation, and accommodation.
3.
Congress Materials: Complimentary Congress materials, including program books and abstract books, to enhance the learning experience and provide valuable resources for future reference.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for a bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Demonstrated interest in and commitment to the field of pathology.
2. Students, pathology residents or technologists working in resource-limited settings.
3. Submission of an abstract for poster presentation at the Congress.
4. A clear and concise personal statement outlining the reasons for applying and the potential benefits of attending the Congress.
5. Letter of support from an institution or supervisor.
Note: Successful bursary applicants will not be eligible for CPD certificates for attending the Congress.
Application Process:
To apply for a bursary, please send an email with required documents, to common IAP-AD email. Ensure that you provide all required documents and information, including your personal statement, CV, abstract, and supporting documents indicating letter of support.
The deadline for bursary applications is 16th September 2023. The applications will be carefully reviewed by our bursary committee, and successful applicants will be notified by
30 September 2023. The number of bursaries available is limited, and the committee's decision is final.
