Dr. Husham Abdelrahman is the Director of the Trauma Resuscitation Unit at Hamad General Hospital and an Asst. Prof. Clinical Surgery at the Weill Cornell Medical school-Qatar.
He is a graduate of the Mansoura Medical Faculty, Mansoura University, Egypt. Dr. Abdelrahman completed his internship at the Mansoura University Hospital, Mansoura, Egypt, residency in General Surgery at Hamad General Hospital, Qatar, Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Hamad General Hospital, Qatar. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Medical Education from Joint Master of Professional Health Education in Suez Canal and Maastricht Universities in Egypt.
Dr. Abdelrahman specializes in trauma, general surgery, and surgical critical care. He has a special interest in medical education, Quality, and Disaster Medicine and he is a recognized course director/instructor in many international courses including ATLS, ITLS, ATOM, FCCS, FDM, MIMMS, HMIMMS, ADAMS, EDAMS, TEAM, and EBA.
He also has more than 50 publications.
