Dr Sara Mohammed Bayoumy Hassan

Sara Mohammed Bayoumy Hassan, graduated from Weill Cornell Medical College in 2009 with M.D. certificate with academic honors. Finished general surgery training in HMC and received the The Arab Board of Medical Specializations, Certificate in General Surgery in 2015. Served as an acting specialist in general surgery from 2014 to 2017. Joined Oncoplastic Breast surgery fellowship in 2016 and finished the training in 2019. Currently, an Associate Consultant in oncoplastic breast surgery.

Have learned a lot and brought new improvement ideas through attending multiple international meetings and courses as well as a clinical observership in Oxford University Hospital in the UK. ILM5 certified in Leadership and Management. Also, underwent multiple courses and certificates in quality and patient safety and worked on a few quality projects in the surgical department.

With a huge interest in teaching and education, served as a Facilitator and Instructor in the “Communication Skills Course for residents and faculty" in HMC for many years, as well as a frequent lecturer on breast diseases for QU and WCMC-Q students.

Involved in multiple quality service improvement projects in the breast surgery department, including, but not limited to: Implant precaution project, clinical management pathway of breast patients based on BIRADS classification, establishment of oncoplastic MDT.
