Dr. Salha obtained Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1992. Finished Post graduate studies in Canada and. received the Specialty Certificate in Internal Medicine/Hematology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Toronto-Canada in 2000. Obtain additional certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine/Clinical Hematology and Medical Oncology, Toronto, Canada in 2000/2001/2004.

She was appointed as Consultant in Hematology/Oncology in Hamad General Hospital from February 2003 to 2005 then I was promoted as Sr. Consultant in Hematology/Oncology in NCCCR in 2005. She is a member at international oncology societies such ESMO and ASCO, in addition to International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) Scientific Council for 5 years.

Dr. Salha served on many HMC committees including the hospital research committee, medical education committee, quality and patient safety committee . Her research activities focused in breast, gynecological malignancy and cancer genetics. She has multiple active grants from QNRF, has been site PI for multicenter clinical trial / retrospective study sponsored by Roche, AstraZeneca, MSD pharmaceutical company

Dr. Salha has been Fellowship Program Director for Medical Oncology between the period 2011-till 12/2020 got ACGME-I Accreditation Medical Oncology Fellowship on 2016
