Workshop 5: “Working towards applying The Harvard Trauma Recovery Model in healing the recent Sudanese traumas”

This practical interactive workshop will aim to integrate science, culture and evidence-based knowledge and practices in policy planning, clinical care, humanitarian, and human rights activities and to develop clinical competence in the care of highly traumatized patients. The workshop will address the traumas caused by 30 years of dictatorship in Sudan which remain largely untreated due to the lack of mental healthcare, recovery and healing programs. The workshop will use the Harvard Trauma Recovery model which is a pioneer global program offering a cultural and scientific learning experience addressing the needs of traumatized persons and communities worldwide.
