Call for Abstracts

The 7th Qatar International Mental Health Conference is one of the most established mental health conferences in the Middle East, provides an ideal platform for peer-to-peer learning and networking. This is the seventh conference bringing together policy and decision makers, researchers, clinicians, students and other stakeholders committed to making improvements in the areas of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in Qatar and the region. 

The Planning Committee invites submissions of interest to participate in this year’s conference and look forward to receiving abstracts of research projects or quality initiatives that you believe would make a suitable contribution to our program and will be of interest to healthcare professionals working in or with mental health locally or internationally.

Submission topics include:
  • International best practice 
  • Psychopharmacology
  • Cultural Psychiatry 
  • Mental Health service planning 
  • Interdisciplinary mental health services
  • Local research efforts
You can submit an abstract to present one of the following:
  1. Intensive workshop 
  2. Oral Presentations
  3. 3Poster Presentations
Intensive Workshop Sessions – scheduled to be held on Thursday 6 December 2018
Workshop sessions are 3-hours long and will require an interactive format to facilitate active learning, such as discussion, activities, small group role-plays. 

Oral Presentations – scheduled to be held on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 December 2018
Oral presentations will be of 15 minutes duration. 

Poster Presentations – scheduled to be held on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 December 2018
Approved posters will be displayed in the venue foyer for the duration of the conference.
