Dr. Abdel-Naser Elzouki, MBChB, MD, DTM&H, MSc, PhD, FACP, FRCP (UK)
Abdel-Naser Elzouki is a Senior Consultant of Internal Medicine. He is Chief of General Internal Medicine, Hamad General Hospital at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar. He holds the position of Professor of Medicine at College of Medicine, Qatar University and Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine, Weill Cornell Medical College of Qatar. He is the Clerkship Director of Internal Medicine at College of Medicine, Qatar University.
Professor Elzouki has more than 35 years of professional experience and he has extensive experience in medical education and teaching post-graduate residents and fellows as well as under-graduate medical students. He has received a number of awards and honours and he is the Federation lead of the Royal College of Physicians-UK in Qatar, a host examiner for MRCP-PACES exams of UK and an official Arab board and Libyan board examiner for Internal Medicine specialty.
Professor Elzouki has published more than 160 articles in peer reviewed medical journals, is the Editor-in-Chief of LJMS and an editorial board member and reviewer to numbers of international medical journals. In addition to being a member of many regional and international professional associations and societies, Professor Elzouki is the Secretary General of Mediterranean Association for Study of Liver Disease (MASL) and President of the Mediterranean Task Force for Cancer Control (MTCC) (2022-2025).
