Dr. Ibrahim A. Al-Janahi, FACP,FACE
Dr. Al Janahi is Senior Consultant endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). He graduated from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1989 and completed residency training in Internal Medicine at HMC and The University of Illinois at Chicago School of Medicine, United States (US) in 1995. He then completed fellowship training program at the Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis in the US in 1997. He subsequently joined Endocrinology Division at HMC.
Dr. Al Janahi is a member of several academic and administrative committees at HMC and currently he is the chairman of the HMC Endocrine Guidelines Committee including Endocrine Guidelines Committee. Also, he is a member of the American Diabetes Association (ADA), American College of Physicians (ACP), American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and Endocrine Society. His main area of interest is patients care and conducting teaching activities for students, residents and fellows as well as clinical research in diabetes and obesity.
