Dr. Emad Naem is American Board certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, diabetes, metabolism and obesity medicine. He graduated from Damascus University Medical School in 1995. He completed his internal medicine residency program at St. Joseph Hospital- Northwestern University in Chicago IL in 2005.
Upon completing his endocrinology fellowship at University of Florida (UF) in 2011, Dr. Naem accepted a prestigious appointment at UF endocrinology division as a faculty/ assistant professor.
In June 2015, Dr. Naem joined Hamad medical corporation (HMC) as a Senior Endocrinology Consultant. Currently, he is leading the thyroid FNA clinic. He is the associate program director of the HMC endocrinology fellowship. Also, He is an assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medical College - Qatar.
He participated in clinical and basic science research studies and published several papers in peer review journals.
In addition to diabetes, Dr. Naem has special interest in thyroid and parathyroid disorders, thyroid FNA, and neck ultrasound.
