Dr. Shablak completed his medical oncologist specialist training at the Yorkshire Deanery in the UK in 2015 and has been working as a consultant medical oncologist at the University Hospital of Southampton. His clinical practice involves overseeing the use of systemic anti-cancer therapies for patients with upper and lower gastrointestinal cancers including trial therapies.
He also has a personal interest in academic medicine, particularly cancer immunotherapy. He completed an MSc in Immunology and MD (Res) in cancer immunotherapy from the universities of Oxford and Manchester, respectively. He has authored and co-authored a number of peer-reviewed journal publications and presented at national and international conferences.
