Dr. Hassan Al Thani, MD, MBBCh, MBA, CABS, FRCSI/C, FRCSP-Glasgow, FACS, IEDM, is the Senior Consultant and Head of the Trauma and Vascular Surgery Sections at Hamad General Hospital, Qatar, and Chairperson of the ACS (ATLS) Committee on Trauma, Qatar. A graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dr. Al Thani completed his training in General Surgery, Trauma, and Vascular Surgery at McMaster University, Canada. He holds a Master’s in Logistics Hospital Management and an International Executive Master’s in Emergency and Disaster Management from Georgetown University, Qatar. With over 300 publications and nine book chapters, Dr. Al Thani has held numerous leadership roles, including Board Member of Hamad Medical Corporation and President of the Gulf Vascular Society.
