Prof. ABDELBASET F. MOHAMMED,
MBBch, MSc, MD
Dr Abdelbaset was graduated from Minia University in Egypt in 1992. He finished his training in Minia University Hospital. He started his academic carrier in 1997 and got Professorship in 2015. Currently he is a Consultant in OBGYN department in HMC and entitled an Assistant Professor in WCMC-Q, since 2015.
Dr Abdelbaset has 25 years of clinical experience in General Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has special interest in Minimal Access surgery [MAS] and Gyn-Oncology. He is a member of the Middle East Society of Gynecological Endoscopy [MESGE] & European Society of Gynecological Endoscopy (ESGE) since 2013.
He has extensive experience in medical education and teaching undergraduate students and postgraduate candidates. He is a recognized examiner for both categories. He is a core faculty in the department. In addition he is a member of Clinical Competency Committee [CCC] and Residency Program evaluation Committee [PEC] He has received a number of awards and honors during his stay in Qatar.
Professor Abdelbaset has published more than 25 articles in peer reviewed journals. He has been invited as a speaker and chair to a number of regional and international conferences. In addition, he is a reviewer for many international journals. He is involved in many committees working in service development in WH like Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee [CPG] and Risk management committee.
