Following the remarkable success of the first joint Breast Cancer and Gynecological Malignancy conference last year, it is my great pleasure to invite you to attend the second state-of-the-art joint Breast Cancer and Gynecological Malignancy Conference to be held in Katara Hall on 18 and 19 October 2019. The two day conference will focus on improving quality of cancer care in women’s cancers.

In line with this theme, this year’s conference program will emphasize the importance of providing an evidence-based multidisciplinary approach in the diagnosis and management of women’s cancers.

The conference will also be a great platform for comprehensive summaries delivered by well-known international, regional, and local keynote speakers on specific types of cancer. These speakers will eagerly provide the most up-to-date scientific reviews on biology, biomarkers, preservation of fertility and alike. Attendees will also have the opportunity to shed light on some topics of great interest for surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, pathologists and general gynecologists, primary care physicians, and nurses, and many other cancer-related topics will also be addressed.

Together with our distinguished faculty members, we anticipate 300 to 400 delegates will attend this conference. We will take this opportunity to launch the breast cancer campaign on Friday, 18 October 2019, from 5pm to 9pm to mark the World Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The campaign is designed to raise awareness of prevention, early detection and treatment options available in Qatar, as well as to increase women’s understanding on the importance of regular screening tests/mammograms as a tool to empower them to take control over their breast health.

During the conference, there will be a number of activities, including lectures, workshops and the distribution of educational materials, such as leaflets, roll ups and posters to help increase the public’s knowledge on how to be breast aware and what breast cancer and gynecological cancer is.

We look forward to welcoming you to this special event.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Salha Bujassoum Al Bader
Chair of Organizing Committee
