Rapid advances in neurosciences have been at the forefront of modern medicine during the last two decades and have led to major advances in the management of neurological disorders. Sophisticated imaging techniques allows for rapid diagnosis of a host of acute neurological emergencies allowing unparalleled access to the way the human brain responds to ischemia, seizures, trauma and mass lesions. Advances in the management of these disorders are paving the way to improvement in recovery and better prognosis of disorders that were until recently considered untreatable.
The last two decades have also allowed us a better understanding and management of common chronic neurological disorders, including migraine and tension type headache, muscular disorders and neuropathies, brain tumors and degenerative diseases.
The 1st Qatar Annual Neuroscience Conference organized by the Neurological Institute at Hamad Medical Corporation offers a comprehensive educational program specifically designed for the MENA region that will have significant emphasis on practical aspects of common neurological and neurosurgical disorders. The scientific program committee has invited world leaders in their fields to share their knowledge with the attendees.
The scientific program consists of daily plenary sessions in the morning and breakout sessions in the afternoon that will allow for maximizing the participants access to their field of interest.
The 1st Annual Neuroscience Conference is is open to all healthcare professionals with an interest in neurology, neurosurgery and neuroradiology. During the three days of the conference, participants will hear from leading experts from Qatar, MENA region and from around the world on diagnosis and practical management of neurological conditions common to Qatar and the Arabian Peninsula.
